how much power will i be getting?

A JL 300/4 is rated to do 75wx4 (1.5-4ohm) and 150x2 (3-8ohm)

while the Alpine PDX 2.150 is rated to do 150x2 (1-4ohm)

If I plan on using an 8ohm midbass, such as the peerless exclusives, will the JL 300/4 give more power than the Alpine PDX 2.150 will?

Do you have to cut the power in half from the Alpine when going to an 8 ohm load?

You already got some answers on DIYMA, but I'll throw something on here.

You will get 150 watts x 2 channels when bridged with two 8 ohm loads with the JL

You should get about 75 ohms x 2 channels into 8 ohms with the Alpine

Oh, I almost misunderstood your last question. Do you mean "will you get half the power"? If so, then yes. I thought you meant do you have to turn the gain halfway down...which you don't...
