How much power does a 12w7 ported need?

My buddy has 1000+ (PDX1.1000 amp) on his ported 12W7 and it is really LOUD!

iam running a 10w7 ported off of a fusion nv-am2500. its getting right around 1100-1200 rms and takes it very well. my guess would be at least 1000 rms to make it really sing for you. keep in mind that its 3 ohms, so an amp with a good high 4 ohm rating will help.
