How much power can handle a vented ID12V3 ?

Hello, I just ordered today an Orion Amp rated at 600 RMS @ 1ohm...

This amp is for my not yet installed Image Dynamics ID12V3 D2

I'm building a box with ID specs for a large Vented Box, 2 cu.ft @ 30hz.

Some sites rate the ID12 400 RMS / 500 Max. On the Spec sheet on the ID site says 250 / 450.

So I just want to know... If this amp will burn my Sub.

I have a velleman scope, is right that setting the gain of this amp to a secure output like 350RMS is possible ???

i have a pair off of a mcd500 and they sound great. the guy on the ID forums say you can put 500 at them, but not much more.. and be careful with the gains.

And what about the max watts??? suppose it set the gains at 400 rms, I need to be carefull with the peak watts... But, how to know its value
