How much of a difference will this make?

Friend of mine has one of these in his Fusion.

He told me they're used to increase the voltage of the RCA's and it is an add on to his LOC.

I am using an lc2i right now. Would adding a line driver do any difference at all? He said it was basically like using an aftermarket HU.

Your lc2i has a 9.5 volt line driver built into it.

Yeah, and max output voltage on his unit seems to be 7.5v. He has other features with it, but as far as signal goes, yours puts out a higher voltage.

Ah dope. So I wont worry about spending money on it then. He got his for free so he threw it in there. But he also is using a cheap LOC I believe.

Yeah, don't worry. I think LOCs are generally cheap anyway.
