No even better, watching some cocky guy make an *** out himself.having fun instructing noobs in the way of car audio genius? lol...does sound entertaining..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Yeah. What you said about losses makes me wonder if maybe there'll be a market for "green audio".Your horsepower to wattage ratio is correct. But you also need to consider efficiency losses. Your stereo is not 100% efficient, your alternator is not 100% efficient, and there are losses in every wire and at every joint. How much all these loses add up to is anyone's guess, but a 750 watt stereo will certainly cost you more than 1hp.
...
With gas prices as absurd as they are these days (I pay around 4 freakin bucks a gallon here in good ole California), this isn't such a ridiculous question. And, maybe the OP was just curious.
I think I already know the question... and the answer is, tell her she must have gotten it from some other guy she was sleeping with that night. And be sure to act surprised. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gifhaha have fun...i had a question that only you could answer but i seem to have forgotten..
Can you imagine trying to put a decent sized stereo in an electric car? lolYeah. What you said about losses makes me wonder if maybe they'll be a market for "green audio".

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifOkay smart guy, then explain how your previous comment makes any sense within the context of this conversation. Let me give you a hint, the energy in your battery that allows you to play your stereo with the engine off.... cost you money in gas previously by building up/maintaining the charge in said battery.
I would have been happy to politely point out your flawed logic, but you had to be all smart-*** to the OP when it is you that doesn't know what he's talking about. If you aren't 100% confident in your knowledge in the subject, Id keep the cocky attitude out of it if I were you. Better yet, just try reading, rather than actually responding.
well i had 2 18"s in 15 cu ft with 3 batteries, an amp, and a ton of wire, not to mention a 250amp alt and i dropped like 2 mpg...not too bad.lol at OP but on a more realisitc note. Im going to have just under a 1000lbs in the back of my 4runner and its already sagging like a *****. Anyone guess how much that will hurt my gas mileage?
Sounds good cause I got a 120 mile drive I make on the weekends and already only get like 15mpgwell i had 2 18"s in 15 cu ft with 3 batteries, an amp, and a ton of wire, not to mention a 250amp alt and i dropped like 2 mpg...not too bad.
Haha. Yeah. Still, that seems to be the way things are going. Can you imagine trying to put a decent sized stereo in an electric car? lol
