How much does a Phoenix Gold R5.0:1 put out?

On the PG website it says 500 watts max power, which throws me off because they give so RMS rating, but in this auction, it says 500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. I wondering where they got this...

It's pretty cheap here, considering the Xenon 600.1 is about $60-$70 more expensive at 100 more watts.
