stop trying to be macho. not only is it almost 100lbs it is an akward carry because of sizeNo it's not....it's just big. The weight isn't a problem, or atleast for me it isn't.
Its actually not all that bad once you get the hang of it. Just need to know how to handle the material. I'm sure you have seen people carrying 4x8 sheets of whatever, just gotta drop it down into your strong hand lean it up against your shoulder and brace the top with your weak hand, make sure your near the center of the sheet and when you need to drop it you just lean the front corner down and then either keep pushing to lean it up the long way or balance it off the corner and work it down then lean it up. I would say 12' or 16' pieces of 5/8ths wallboard would be much more akward to carry, specially with how much it flexes and bounces as you walk and much more delicate.stop trying to be macho. not only is it almost 100lbs it is an akward carry because of size
from what I have noticed, the weight varies for some reason. I have 2 near equal peices sitting in my garage right now, and they are substantially different.
