how much deadener for a tahoe?

Gonna be buying some raamat and ensolite probably today, just curious on how much of the BXT mat i should get. Im mostly concerned with the doors, rear hatch, and floor. I might go back and do the roof later, but im not too worried about it right now. Would two rolls be enough (125sq ft) or should i get a 3rd?

You are going to need ALOT of deadener....I used about 25 square feet for each door of my 04 Silverado (basically same doors as a tahoe).

So figure 100 square feet for doors alone. Now you have a floor....guessing a tahoe is around 5.5 feet wide x 12 feet long??? Thats about 60-70 square feet...and thats only 1 layer, and not accounting for that the floor is not flat...I would personally do 2 layers on a floor...at least.

Put it to you this way...I used 125 square feet in my single cab truck, and I could of used about 10-15 more square feet to double up the rear wall.

25 square feet per door? is that like 6 layers heh? is it going to take THAT much to make a difference if i use both BXT and ensolite?

I was going to single layer the whole rig minus the roof, maybe double layer the doors and front floor.

I figured i was going to buy 2 rolls of BXT and 6 yards of ensolite. Maybe i should get a 3rd roll?

well figure it like this. My doors are 3x2 (area that CAN be deadend) Thats 6sq feet. There is also an inner skin. so there is another 6 square feet. Double layer on the outer skin takes you to 18...plus waste. and if you want to add a double layer on the other skin...that takes you over 25sq. feet. When you are deadening...

that crap gets eaten up fast.
