How much amps does it put out?

i just was wondering i bought this 30 dollar electric tester from radioshak that tells me the voltage of things+ more but i dont see an option to see how many amps im putting out right now with my stock alt soon to be new put in on thursday at idle i put out 14.8 volts. so i hope i see an increase with the new alt ;0 any ideas on how i can see how many amps im puttin out?

what else does it tell you? square root of watts/resistance = amps . watts / volts = amps . volts / resistance = amps . hope i helped

i know how 2 just prefer not 2 lol. i was lookin for an easy way to do it. but i gots a calc to do it for me ;0

I used those formulas and came up with very different answers. 1st formula would be 35A, in my case, 2nd Formula would be 200A, 3rd would be 6A. Which one is right, I am running 2 Viper 1200's and a Viper 200.4

the only way to really measure the current is to get an amp meter.

I have a clamp meter that measures amperage. Where would i clamp it to find my current, I know it is a stupid question, but nonetheless where would i clamp it?
