For starters you should use your amp in mono and get more power that way.To get 130+ db's everthing has to run perfect.lets say you want to get 135db's you need a box about 2 cu ft - 3.5 cu ft.If you plan on running your amp in 2 chan. with a 1.5 cu ft box you will hit about 132 db's.I don't know what you expect but you are not using alot of power so don't expect to win a trophy or get 140+ db's man.Hope i could help.

First off like Epanther said there is no way to answer your question. The reason being is that so many things come into play. If I remember correctly those kicker comps can take quite a bit more power than the mtx will provide, which will further decrease your db rating. Just think about it, if a certain sub always produced 150 db and another produced 170. Which sub do you think would sell more, which one would you see in comps more. (SPL wise of course). The fact is that no company can specify what their sub is always capable of doing, because the first customer that didn't "reach" that mark, could sue for false advertisement. They can state maybe what they were able to obtain, but you also have to remember, that they have a lot more $$ than the majority of us, they also probably have more experience, and have everything in their setup nailed down to a T. So with that being said, I'd say given the "right setup" those subs are probably likely to push close to what Lowrider said. But you never know until you try it.

Thats true you really can't know what your gonna hit until you try it, but you can have a pretty good guess.Sealed boxes for starters limit you in db's rather than a ported box. They say to get 3 db's more you have to double your power, but the box is very important in a setup almost the main ingredient.Lets say you have 500 or 1000 rms for an amp and a large sealed box then you are pushing the 140 db area give or take 5 db's for box size.It feals better to see the numbers in real life but it doesn't feel nice when people say that who knows what your gonna hit when you can have a good guess because you seen whats out there and have a good memory or a friend with the db tester program on his pc with a mic.I do so its gonna be fun this summer.

sounds good, but will putting in these kicker subs in that setup make my current system sound louder and better? i have 2 pioneer 350 watt subs, their decent i guess.

And you really can't tell by sitting in your car, what your db reading might be. I've been in cars where people had a certified competition certificate of 150 db. The second I sat in it I was like no way that is hitting 150+. Then again I've been in cars set-up strickly for SQ, and could have sworn they were a lot louder than the db reading. It really all depends on the setup, and I can tell you the enclosure can make or break your system.

tru, but is it a worthwhile upgrade, cuz i tink my pioneers r worn out, i might just buy the kicker 10's in a ported box, cuz my **** rumbles, but isnt loud.
