right now all 4 speakers are on my 8002running each channel @2ohms, it does 400x2-ish, i dont have the gain all the way up, but i wonder how long they will take it? when i put my subs in im going to cross them over high so they dont die even faster

no money atm to get some new ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but when i do get some money, im thinking of getting 2 sets of the crystal mobile sound components 1 up front 1 in the back and keeping the amp bridged, i could really care less about bringing the sound stage back or what not, as long as i hear the words, or maybe going back the Pro60 route and just doing 1 set up front and coax in the back or leave the back out

anyone? i gots to get an alt first

well if you smell them, then you kno....lol but alot of the newer stock speakers sound surprisely good to me, compared to them older stuff, i kno my gf's 06 civic and my mom had a 2000 impala that sounded pretty good imo. but i dunno about amping them. my mom had i think a small amp in the trunk under her rear dash that i think was for the rear 6x9s.

my friend has a 04 caddy cts and his stock speakers really surprised me. tho nothing stock will ever be good as a decent aftermarket speaker.

if your gains are conservative you should be fine.

I ran the stock speakers in my G35 (Bose) for a while on about 150wpc. They seemed to handle it fine. I ran them like that for a few weeks until I cooked one. I smelled them many times, but I don't listen to hip hop - so there was no extended high power bass. What finally cooked one of them was a Plump Dj's song (Foxy Moron) which has a pretty tight bass line. I guess I had it too loud - one of the back speakers cooked. The amps I was running had individual gains for each channel - that one may have been a bit higher than the others.

They sounded a million times better than with the stock deck and amp, but when I installed the DLS in the driver side - fading back and forth the stock speakers didn't even sound like music.

So I would say a couple of weeks. Longer if you don't crank 'em.

Yeah - they were pretty sucky. They lasted longer than I expected though. I was putting some power to them. The amps I was running were 2 mmats sq2150's which are pretty underrated at 150x2 at 4 ohms. The blose in my car were 2 ohm so there was a potential of probably over 300 watts per driver. I cranked them all the time. Until they melted.
