when you blow a sub with too much current its a common thing to "pop" the coils like your seeing. Only way to really burn one to the ground is to play a really high frequency so the coil barely moves ( little to no air across it )I think there was a defect on the sub. The coil still looks brand new and tinsel leads are still perfect. The only bad part is a tiny section of the coil is burnt. Dunno
