I've got two 10" pioneer premier subs, they each handle 350, 700 total and iv got 800 on them. They just aren't quite loud enough. I want to move up, but also go down to one sub, will a 15" type R get loud in say a 2.5 cube enclosure @ 34 Hz off of 1200 watts from an AQ1200D? Or should I get a 12? If i get a 12, will it handle 1200 watts for daily listening? Do you estimate that it will be louder than my current setup? Thanks

15 will most likely be louder, more cone area. Many 12"s will handle 1200w daily. My 12" Fi/tc9 hybrid in a sealed box is just as loud as my old RE destroyer in a ported box, mainly because of the install so its hard to say.

you want another destroyer motor? i have one...

Will the 15" R do well in the specs i stated in the first post? And I'm pretty solid on install quality, just want to know if those will be ok for a medium between SQ and SPL? 15" type r for $190, getting ~1000 watts should be loud correct lol?
