how in the hell do you rerun wire to the doors in a 1998 jeep cherekee? do i have to take out the whole dash? here's my problem. i talked this female into buying some coaxils in her ride because the speakers were blown. i hooked up the new speakers and got zero sound from the front right. made sure there wasn't a bad connection on the speaker. everything fine there. i know this jeep sat out in the yard for almost a year. maybe the wires dry rotted. they don't look that way. for sure the right front needs new wire. i haven't really got in there and took a look but i know the dash looks real tight. anybody own a jeep cherekee. this fvcker sux. i've never taken this long to put in some shitty coaxils.

my dad had a 99 grand cherokee and to get to the speakers in the dash you just popped the dash pad off with a flat head IIRC. Hope this helps

It's quite easy. Take off the bezel that goes around the radio and gauges. To the right of the gauges is a dummy pod. Run the wires behind that.

do i have to take out the whole dash? behind the radio is a roll of wires that doesn't go straight down. looks like it goes up andd to the side. i can't believe i'm having this much trouble running one wire. for some straight reason one wire has a bad connection in the factory harness. sux!!!!!

yeah, just replaced an old kennwood with a piece if shit jensen. all the speaker connectons work fine except for the front right. we haven't seen it do this yet with the new hu, but before all the sound would slowly fade out and then kick back in. i figured the hu was bad... i know this jeep grand cherekee didn't come with the infinity system. if it has a factory amp, i had no idea. i'm gonna go lokk and see. even though i'm a shit sometimes i try to help here every now and then. i appreciate it...

Well, I highly doubt it's the wiring man...

It's either factory amp, or the deck amp...

Try popping the speaker with a 9V battery at the wire by the deck...
