How in the flying **** did Dark Knight oust The Godfather on IMDB?

Asking people, who were already endorsing an Oscar for Heath Ledger prior to seeing the movie, to review TDK objectively is proving to be impossible. This movie is not 9.5/10 good, and it certainly isn't better than all the movies it is ahead of on IMDB....but that's IMDB for you.

Over time, a more diverse voting base will emerge and TDK will deservedly slip in the standings.

The movie is a very good movie, however it is not amazing and it is nowhere near the best movie ever, like alot of people claim it is.

I think heath did a great job playing jack nicholson. However the script was not the greatest, batman's voice was annoying. For such a serious movie they had to get corney near the end?

Was a good flick, and heath did a great job as the jocker. But so did the rest of the cast, as their roles. That alone does not make it an amazing movie.

i thought that it amazing...joker was portrayed(sp?) as we all know from the comic books/TV shows....Wanted was crazy aswell.....So was 21

There was zero bad acting in the film, it was merely too long and the startling effect of the joker and two-face was lost completely. Ledger was ****ing fantastic as the joker, almost Oscar material I'd say. Bale was good as ever. But, when put together, they tried to take everything great and make it a "super great" film. Nothing blended together well, it just turned out to be a bunch of action sequences with clever music.

I wanted to see it despite Ledger's death. There were moments where I was thinking "eeehhh". But overall, best superhero movie bar none, and easily a top 15 action movie. /shrug.

It was definitely waayyy over hyped because of it, but I still think if he was alive it would have gotten on imdb's top 50 or 100.

No, not even close. Batman Begins is the best superhero movie bar none. Anything that does the same thing for 2.5 hrs cannot possibly be the best at anything.

I liked the movie myself. Ledger did a great job of doing the Joker regardless if he was dead or alive.

I did think there are parts that could have been better, or worse. And if BM's voice owuld have not been so fake we could easily argue, "How can everyone not know who it is, its so obivous"

2 Face's part was good as a character, just a little over the top all of a sudden IMO, but however does setup for him to make an appearance in BM 3.

The only thing that bothered me sorta, but I also liked(kinda weird) was that BM seemed to be fighting police/SWAT more to save the victims. This made sense to me where I liked it bc it showed BM's dark side, but also thought it kinda cancelled out him protecting the good.

Overall movie follows old comic scripts even the BMs girl dying which I like....

Overall really good movie....not the best ever, just best I have seen in a while

And I was hoping, PRAYING that they would've ended the movie where Dent says SAY IT, and then they show his face, and you KNOW the next movie is gonna be ****ing insane. Had they done that instead of having him as a character this time around, I could see a top 10.
