My ladyfriend works at a call center. They started off with a fair pay and plenty of bonuses a couple of years ago. When the employees did all the right thing to earn good bonuses, the company then changed the rules. Little benefits disappeared. More work was added. Then along came a paycut.
This company did so miserably that when the went back to ask previous employees to come back to work for them when the personnel list was getting short, they only had a 4% positive response. Morale isn't in the toilet, it's all the way down to the sewage plant...LOL!
I told her on her last day that when customers call in that she should give the store away. "You want a $200 credit on your bill? Sure!" kind of thing. She's retiring when this job ends in any case so she doesn't need to leave the job in good order. The only problem is she's such a nice and honest lady that she won't stick it to 'em when the company has it coming.
Glad to read someone else had the cajones to do what they did when getting messed with. That boss must have attended Nimrod U. to learn his management techniques from the same people who run the call center...LOL!
