How good is U.S. Military Technology compared to other countries

i think we are at a lose wit the war because we are fighting an enemy that will jus die for his country no saying US troops wont but its diffrent such as the 9/11 attacks, we wont do anything that outraged but figure how many more troops they have thats willing to do the same things, the many people that are willing to walk up wit a bomb strapped to them, and man that are willing to strap a bomb to a baby and send it to a US troop in our mind thats very much wrong and hurts us to see a baby strapped wit a bomb and we will try to save it but its there way of intelligence and found weak points in our system, we will rather save the innocent and they send the innocent at our troops wit bombs strapped to them, there are a couple more ways they try to out smart us but i see the ones we are fighting against have way less technology than we do
we arent losing anything, the media only makes it look that way.

THANK YOU!

Ask any soldier that was over there or go buy a book titled "This is our War" and you will see just that. Iraqi people cheering at the soldiers, waving American flags for capturing that modern day hitler and his 2 sick sons. But even if we did capture Osama, it would be nothing but political. His successor has already taken his place. In this case, cutting the head off the snake wont kill the body....

And the F22 is not replacing the F/A 18, its replacing the F15. The F/A 18 hornet/Super hornet is the carrier based fighter which the raptor was not designed to be. The Joint Strike Fighter on the other hand is supposed to replace the aging F14 and F/A 18.

all i have to say for our military technology can be summed up into 7 letters, a dash and 2 numbers. F-22 Raptor is all that needs be said IMO;).
I am currently the level 1 through 3 combatives instructor here on Ft. Campbell Ky. for all the Spec ops. Been to Iraq 2 times with 1/75th Ranger Bat and Afghanistan once this is my time away from the line training troops .

Yes that is one part of the future of the armed forces is air and is very crucial...but if you look at where we are currently going now is more smaller "tac" teams just here at FT. Campbell alone we are standing up another battalion of Special Forces (5th Group) and also adding to the green Platoon in 160th (5th Group air support) wich are the ranger/pathfinders company. The future of any war now is highly trained tac teams that are deployable at a moments notice equiped with the best gear availible...now granted you still have to go in and occupy the land behind these teams but im a firm believer in doing more with less and the armed forces are finally seeing this and taking our suggestions by beefing up Spec OPS...you can now join the army with a SF contract you couldnt do that when i came in 8 years ago heck even when i came in i had to try out for a Ranger school slot but now to you can join with a RIP contract.

so if anyone is interested in joining i say deff. check into it we are looking for some good troops......you get to play with all the cool stuff, learn some good martial arts/combatives, and have fun it is totally diff. on this side than the regular army ect....

The US fights a very technological war- while the terrorists run a very personal war. The terrorists are ahead of the US because the US is using technology to fight an enemy that has little or none in comparison. The US has alot of catching up to do on the personal side of the war, hacking networks of verbal information that is not accessabe by computers but by people and informants that have worked into the terrorist's systems.
I'm not well versed in the war but the US troops are outnumbered greatly by the people in that country and they don't hardly ever know who to shoot at. Too many gray areas. it's not point and click like the US likes it.
well, not just that, but we fight by rules... they don't
its as simple as that.

also... we wear uniforms, they don't.

they see attacks on civilians as legitimate.

we don't.

Its therefore easier for them to fight us than for us to fight them....

if we go to war with china/japan all we have to do is use the 1 thing that no other country has which is the trident subs. last i checked we're the only country with them at least.

Actually our Abrams tanks can hit speeds higher than 35, closer to 60 when they need to escape LOL, Our Bradleys are hella fire fight finishers with their 25mm HE or AP main weapon but then again i haven't revealed anything that isn't on the web

Our Media is making the war sound terrible, but then again, when was the last time you heard something good on the news? But I guarentee technology has nothing to do with finding Bin Laden, it's a matter of going and searching all of those **** mountains, bet I could hide for a good couple of months in the hills and caves of KY, where I used to live, we are mainly fighting the war in the streets, Bagdad, Ramadi, Faluja(sp?) not in ****in caves. It's unfortunate that I'm an airwinger in the Marine Corps, but I think I'll get a chance to go get some when I get to the sandbox. As far as verticle lift jets, we got the Harrier, and developing the Ospray, which they are saying will take the place of the 53, but it's an electronical nightmare, with all of its systems, it's a verticle lift prop airplane, so I dont see where we are gaining toooooo much, tho, I seen a few of them at New River Air Station, NC and they can like hover in the same spot no shit for like 15 minutes, without moving, I mean, WITHOUT MOVING, a helicopter will sway and junk but not the ospray.

Just think about what the military is testing right now. Generally, military technology is close to 10 years old before it's even known by the public.
No its not!! The US made those laser guided bunker buster missles in like 2-3 months...from scratch!!...and its one of the deadliest underground weapons we have.
