How good is U.S. Military Technology compared to other countries

all i have to say for our military technology can be summed up into 7 letters, a dash and 2 numbers. F-22 Raptor is all that needs be said IMO;).
That names sounds tempting sounds like it shouldnt be tested or messed with. Not sure what it is but it sounds amazing

the F-22 raptor is the replacement to the F-18's the military currently uses as fighter jets. It's stealth, can cruise at mach 2 without afterburner's and is an amazing air craft. They talked about it on Discovery Channel one day on how 6 pilots went up, 5 in the F-18's vs. 1 F-22 and the F-22 never lost.

Just think about what the military is testing right now. Generally, military technology is close to 10 years old before it's even known by the public.

I'll try to find a link, but there's a jet being developed that would share similarities to the Raptor, but with an engine that can allow the jet to take off vertically.

EDIT: Here's a link to the x35 concept. Granted, it is from Wikipedia...but I was lazy.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if the us picks a fight with china.....bye bye folks
let me put it that way
what does that have to do with this thread?... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Yes there are around 30 countries who have or could have nuclear weapons, if we "picked a fight" with any of them, we take that risk.

Catching bin laden has very little to do with out military technology and has everything to do with our intelligence gethering and its process.
Hey...the army does have little remote control robots that will inspect caves and remote control spy planes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Besides that...nothing much.

The US fights a very technological war- while the terrorists run a very personal war. The terrorists are ahead of the US because the US is using technology to fight an enemy that has little or none in comparison. The US has alot of catching up to do on the personal side of the war, hacking networks of verbal information that is not accessabe by computers but by people and informants that have worked into the terrorist's systems.

I'm not well versed in the war but the US troops are outnumbered greatly by the people in that country and they don't hardly ever know who to shoot at. Too many gray areas. it's not point and click like the US likes it.

that is either an intelligent thought, or a stupid speculation, from you i'm not sure which it is. please do indulge the rest of us though.
hes an idiot just rambling stupid thoughts... go read the "911 was an inside job" thread and you will also lose respect for everything he says..

i think we are at a lose wit the war because we are fighting an enemy that will jus die for his country no saying US troops wont but its diffrent such as the 9/11 attacks, we wont do anything that outraged but figure how many more troops they have thats willing to do the same things, the many people that are willing to walk up wit a bomb strapped to them, and man that are willing to strap a bomb to a baby and send it to a US troop in our mind thats very much wrong and hurts us to see a baby strapped wit a bomb and we will try to save it but its there way of intelligence and found weak points in our system, we will rather save the innocent and they send the innocent at our troops wit bombs strapped to them, there are a couple more ways they try to out smart us but i see the ones we are fighting against have way less technology than we do
