How good is U.S. Military Technology compared to other countries

Ok i was sitting back thinking today about how good our technology is here in the States. I know we got some pretty nifty things out technology wise. But what about our military technology. I figure we have great things here in the U.S. in tracking people, IMO they should have caught Bin Laden a long time ago.

I know military technology should be amazing, them being able to do things we thought werent even imaginable, I just want to know how we compare up to other big countries in technology, and why isnt our technology to a point to where we have to go on a 10 yr battle just to find someone, i know its hard and diffrent over there but why havent we develop a task for this particular mission that we are on now?

Thats y i feel this man should have been shut down a long time ago, y do u feel we hold back what else could they possibly be in there doing except there mission.

I see them talking about bringing soldiers home and try to make it sound like a retreat of battle, but i know thats all politics and ratings for the news, because i know a guy who jus took his brother in law up to a station to be sent off for war and he is in the reserve, and i was like **** arent they jus now talkin about pulling soldiers out sounds like there replacing them. The guy also said there were about 500 soldiers that were being sent over there.

i dont think i have a miltary channel my parents have the box in there room and its a spliter ran off of that we get a few of the cable channels but not all, i will def. look into that

OHHHH MAN!!! PLEASE TELL ME YOU GUYS HAVE SEEN "FUTURE WEAPONS" its a show on disc. channel.

We have this gun now that can shoot up to 1,000,000 round per minute, and can shoot up to 250,000 GRENADES per minute...which comes out to like 16,000 per second!! its laser guided, so it can be used for shooting down missles...its a 16 barrel gun, electronically loads...

There is another hand gun which uses the same electronic technology....it shoots 3 bullets before the gun even re-coils!!!

We are working on a laser that literally just vaporizes whatever crosses its path

We now have heavy tanks that go up to 35 MPH, and can launch missles up to 15 miles away in 10 second intervals vs. the 30-45 it takes on modern day tanks...which are man loaded (open to get hit) where as the new tanks do it all electronically...they load and put the chosen charge on automatically.

There is a sound device that they can actually aim in a certine direction, and it puts out like 130 db at like 100 yards away!!! but its concentrated in a straight line somehow, so you cant hear it unless your in its path.

So to answer your question...above and beyond.

the armour for the Striker vehicles is made in canada and was developed by GM in partner with some german company.

now if you want to talk about cool weapons, the israelis have a portable nuclear device that will destroy everything in a 500 yard radius and then dissipates in the atmosphere w/ in 30 mins, no fallout or anything like that. very interesting device.
