how good is this wire

at 1.75\ft is some of the best wire per price, but its not as flexible and it is not tinned wire either. basically its real good wire for the price and if you dont have lots of real complicated curves and stuff and can deal with some stiffer wire, you will be happy.

and ive read that if you leave it in the sun for a little while, the jacket gets a little more flexible and its easier to install.

just a thought //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you will be happy not to pay $150 for a 0 guage wire kit if you order from knu.

I'm no expert, but I am actually looking into Knukoneptz myself and found out that the KLM is 90% aluminum and only 10% copper covering...aka copper clad aluminum per their site. It is my understanding that aluminum does not conduct quite as well as copper. Also, their Kolossus and Flex lines are rated at 300+ amps while the KLM is capped at 250.

so does that mean it wont conduct as good or does it mean only up to 250 ampswould this work for the big 3 though

Here is an article on conductivity of the two metals, http://www.tpub.com/neets/book4/11e.htm .

Knokonceptz says it is good for up to 250A, which is short of the 300A+ on the full copper, so I am assuming the loss is attributed to the 90% aluminum substitute. The length of the cable plays heavily into its' capacities as well from what I remember when I use to be into car audio quite a bit, however, I did not see any charts on their site to discuss length; in their defense, I did not look very hard either though, lol.

I think it would work fine for the Big 3 so long as you are not running much larger wire elsewhere...kind of the weakest link in a chain theory. Also, the lengths for the Big 3 are typically much shorter then a battery to rear of car run.

Someone feel free to correct me if I mis-spoke:laugh:

Do you really have an '07 Cobra-R? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Can I drive it?

Oh, and to OP:

I hear that Knu is passing a sort of 'law' that you can't use their wire on crappy equipment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Just thought you should know.

LOL, they don't even make an '07 Cobra R, the last R was made in 2000. I have had this S/N for quite a while on diff. forums and so I used it here, the R stands for Ryan (me), and my intent long ago was to get an '07 Cobra, which Ford decided to call a GT500. All I ended up with was a '06 GT convertible, lol. I will get another Cobra at some point, just not now...had a '99 and loved it!!!

so is this wire decent or no for big 3
Are you running Kicker's 1/0 hyperflex? If so, I would tend to say that Knukonceptz Kolussus or Flex would be more in line with what you have already. If you are running Kicker 4ga., then the KLM 1/0 should be fine.
