how far can i take my stock alternator

its rated at 145 and i tested and its putting out 160amps

with two yellow tops can i run a sundown 100.4 and 3000.1 or a kicker 2400.1

i want to power to 2 sundown 18s or 3 MJS15 which would be louder

also do i have to run two 0 gauges or one should be okay?

with 2 yellow tops you should be able to run the kicker 2400.1

If you replaced the yellow tops with 2-3 Batcap 2000s, you could get away with running the 100.4 and the 3000 Sundown I would bet.

I would also replace your primary battery to at least a 100 Ah or more.

How do i know if i need dual 0 gauge wireing? whats the rule of thumb

You can find some Batcaps on here, Ebay, dealers...interweb...

My rule of thumb is to use 1/0 gauge all the time, but especially if your 1500-2000 watts or more.

I never used the battery formula, so I can't help you there...

1 d3400 and 2 d3100s on a stock alt could handle it

with a batcap 2000 it handle 4000watts why would i need 2-3?
