How does voltage work for amp??

alright, so i have an amp that puts out 1200@1 but at 14.4 volts.... that seems a little high and my car with stock alterator runs at like 13.9.. now idk if that has anything to do with it or how it works but do i need to do the big 3 upgrade to make my amp work to its full potential. or what? please tell me whats goin on!

It's always good to do the big 3. Do that first and if you can get a new front battery.

watt = amp x volt. So if your amp is 1200 @ 14.4 it SHOULD give around 1158.3 watt. ( that's a rought estimate)

alright, ill do that big 3 tomarrow, but if i left it alone now, would the amp like **** all my juice outta car? or just not run at right wattage?
