How does this system look?

Yeah, I talked to jlaine, he said $360.00 shipped! Great deal.

I am going to build my own box, after talking to jlaine, he said that a 1.2~1.5 cubed box would be adequate, and I won't have to run 1000+ watts of power...he said IF I keep the box within 1.2~1.5 then I can get the subs moving quite well with a 600-800 watt amp...I went with an 850 watt amp @ 1ohm.

Hopefully that turns out to be alright.

Well, Josh would know best. Thats the beauty of the Brahma, it can reach full potential with a lot less than it's stated RMS...

I would love to hear one of these Brahma subs full potential.

There is an authorized dealer here in Indiana, I may take a drive down to him and see his set up, he said he has put 5,000watts to the Brahma, and it handled it like a champ!

wow...5000w??? burp? peak, I'd imagine?

I think josh would disagree that the 5000w is an RMS figure.

I'm not positive to tell you the truth, I only talked to the guy for a brief period, he just said he had 1 hooked up to 5,000 watts and it handled it great, he never really clarified it.

Where can I buy Resonant Engineering subs? I was looking for the HC12q1 on eBay and on some websites, but I can't find anywhere that is selling them to get some good specs, and prices.

I was under the impression that the W7 was the best SQ sub out there...if someone wants as much SQ as only the W7 offers , then it wouldn't really be a waste, would it?

But yes, I agree...the other two are probably better value-wise...but I've of course, only heard the JL and the Brahma...

a ported box, with an amp that produces 700~800watts RMS.
