Just looking for a few pointers or comments. Im building a little 2.1 home stereo to use for parties and whatnot. The drivers i'll be using are an 18" RE SX and two sets of RE RE components. The part im really concerned about is the sub amp and the reciever though.

I was planning on getting these:

Amp:

and the reciever, i am still debating on, but this one looks good considering it has 1 preout (for the sub amp), and 5 channels with plenty of power (assuming that they will be 4 ohm stable. They are rated at 8 ohms)

Im not looking for anything too spendy. If anyone has alternate reccomendations, please post em up!

Well the receiver doesn't look like a bad option but I see nothing in the owner's manual about being 4 ohm stable, so I would be wary about that. Personally I wouldn't buy a Behringer anything. Never liked the quality or support. If you have a price at which you were going to spend on the Behringer I might be able to suggest something to replace it.

Im really up for anything if it's in the same price range. What did you have in mind?

Ok...

Took me a few minutes but based on the cost of $300.00 for the Behringer, the 1000 watt rms and dual 2 or dual 4 configuration of the SX 18". I have 2 Suggestions. They are a little more cost wise.

1. QSC RMX 850

$369.00 830 watts @ 4 Ohms Bridged.

QSC is my first choice. Grade A Amplifiers with excellent service and support. Buy from an Authorized dealer and register the product and get 6 Years of Warranty Coverage.

2. Samson SX1200 --Better than the Behringer but still middle quality

$349.00 1,200 Watts @ 4 ohms Bridged
