How does this setup look?

Head Unit: JVC KW-AVX810

Component: Morel Tempo 6

Comp Amp: Arc KS 300.4

Rear Fill: Morel Tempo 69c

Sub Stage: 2 RE SE 10" D4

Sub Amp: US Amps XT 2000D

I'd be feeding the Comps 250-300 watts, leave the rear fill head unit amplified, and give the subs 600 watts a piece. I'm leaning towards a SQ based set up with decently load bass. I'll put the subs in a custom sealed enclosure.

What do you think?

Does amping the rear fill really help anything? My car is a coupe and almost no one sits in the back, so I was debating for a long time whether or not to get rear fill. I decided to because it gives me the compelete feeling.

What is your stance on the rear fill?

why dont you get rid of the rear fill and use it to buy a matching arc amp.

and unless you are a bass head im sure 1 SE will suffice.

and that jvc headunit is basically a dvd player with a 7 band Parametric eq in it for $800. imo its a waste of money.

at least thats what this tells me

if there was some semblance of a crossover network maybe id consider it.

I'm so glad I haven't pulled the trigger on this deal yet.

I'm sold on the comps/comp amp. They seem like a perfect fit to me and the dealer I'm getting it from just raves about them.

I won't get the sub stage for a while, but I like knowing I have rear fill. It's just something that is a must for me.

I like bass, but in moderation. 1200 watts isn't really that much to me, but I have been considering one SE for a while. It would also be cheaper.

What kind of amp would you recommend for one SE?

And what DD deck should I get instead? I don't want to spend much more than what this one is listed at.

That's a nice amp and doesn't cost much more than the US Amp. I'll definately have that amp on high priority.

So, ditch the rear fill? I was thinking about keeping the stock speakers in and setting the balance so that it is mostly my components. Then I'd use the money I was going to spend on the rear fill to get the Eclipse AVN 6620. Does that sound logical?

OK, so this is what my set up will look like when all is said and done:

Head Unit: Eclipse AVN 6620

Comps: Morel Tempo 6

Comp Amp: Arc KS 300.4

Rear Fill: Stock factory speakers (balance set favoring the comps)

Sub Stage: 2 RE SE 10" D4

Sub Amp: AQ 1200D

Does that look sexy or what?

Looks good. You need Horns. lol.

You mentioned that you just like to "know" you have the rear's.

So leave them and unplug them!

I personally would go with ID subs. If that amp puts out 1200ish watts. You could get 2 IDQ10v3's for it. I've yet to hear the SE's but I love the IDQ's. And they are very efficient in small enclosures.

.5-1 cube a piece!
