How does the first 1/2 of my system look ?

Im going to order it as soon as i get some confirmation that it is going to sound good, and that it will all work. I have a 2001 Taurus SE w/ the 4 6x8 speaker locations

Im going to be using this mid/high setup along with an RE XXX 12" in a box built to the specs on the RE site off of an Orion 2500d @ 1ohm. Just trying to confirm that all of these will be able to keep up w/ it, and that it should all fit and work correctly together ? (i went over the specs like 1,000 times) the speakers are 4 ohms and the amp puts out 100 watts x4 into 4 ohms so that should be enough considering the speaker ratings ?

also if anybody has any opinions on a better set of components to check out that may be higher quality (can be more expensive but nothing ridiculous) i would love to hear some ideas and suggestions regarding this setup

Get some 5.25s, or some 6's, and get some mounthing adapters for them. Oval speakers just dont sound as good. Atleast to me they dont.

i figured if i had the gain down i could run it seeing as how the xxx is rated at 2600 max, no ? well if anything i could opt for a diff. VC setup and run it into 2 ohms for 1700

but i was told that it would be better to get the 2 ohm DVC setup

i was going to order an adapter for 5.25 or 6 inch comps but i read in quite a few places that the universal adapter sound like shit, and i dont really feel like cutting anything

it looks like the group buy has MT available and i assume they handle more power but they dont have a warranty sooooooo

but they are also cheaper so i might just cop one

i have a 2003 ford taurus SE. my system sounds pretty good in it. be carefull when building your box, you may have to assemble it in the trunk. i was almost certain mine would fit but because of how the tailights were shaped on the lip of the trunk it didnt fit. PM me if you have any issues with anything, we can tackle them together if you'd like. Good luck.

ya max watts mean nothing, and yes 2500 is a lot, try like 1,200 to 1,600 watts

there is dual and quad .7 & 1.4 is avail for the MT

the 2500d is only stable down to 1 ohm anyway according to specs, i read after searching here something about a lower rating possible w/ modding ??? what does that mean
