How does the cold affect my box/sub?

Hey,

It's been below 0 (celcius) here for a few days now and we have like 20cm of snow... was just wondering if the cold is bad for the sub? The box it's in isnt covered yet, will the cold affect the box? Anything I should look out for?

the only thing the cold will do is make the surround a bit stiffer if it's a rubber surround. so don't try beating on it when it's that cold.

dont beat on ur sub right away let it warm up for a bit you might rip the surround since its so cold shit gets brittle when its that cold out

I used to live in North Dakota and it used to get way below 0 (F) there. I pounded on my subs just like I did any other time and they never gave me any trouble.....and they were cheap MTX subs! I don't worry about it.
