Not sure what 'shaky vibrations' are, but sub distortion is hard to explain, it will usually be 'extra' noise than you wouldnt expect in a clean bass note. The thing is, most people LIKE distortion in their bass, alot of people think that how its supposed to sound, hence many ppl dont like the sound of a low distortion motor ala JL w7 or XBL^2.so shaky vibrations in certain songs are normal?
for example one song a drum beat will hit clear, another song it will hit harder......but there will be added background noise which kinda sounds like vibration where there is not drum coming, maybe it is bass guitar? Not sure what 'shaky vibrations' are, but sub distortion is hard to explain, it will usually be 'extra' noise than you wouldnt expect in a clean bass note. bottoming out means they are reaching their xmech or mechanical limits of excursion. this results in a loud clanking sound, doesnt really sound like your problem, but who knows.what you mean?
