How do you use Audacity to determine the dominant bass frequencies in a song?

Well......how do you do it?

I select a portion of the song.

Go to analyze

Click plot spectrum

I get a graph and lots of options that don't make sense to me.

Maybe I'm missing something because I have the Mac version....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Can you help?

Come on, I need to know the frequency of that low note in Put On so it doesn't bottom out my moofa in my high tuned box....

nah i think he means audacity, but i dont think it will show frequency peaks

here, down load a trial of this software, the spectrum analyzer one, what i used to use but my trial ran out and i never felt like finding a way to get it back

Yeah, that cajunkyard list and the original thread that was started here is what got me interested in this in the first place. Lloyd started the thread here, and he said he was using Audacity. But he never said how to do it...
