how do you tune your ported box??

im building a ported box this weekend but i dont know how you tune it i want it to be in the middle of sq and spl, just wondering how to tune them?

If im not mistaken Port size HxW, Port lenght, lastly but not surely box internal volume... Correct me if i'm wrong
