how do you test the output of your alt?

I'd like to test how many amps my alt puts out.

I bought a 'high output' 140a alt off of ebay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif and my lights still dim (although they don't dim as much) when the bass hits.

for best results take the alt out and let them bench it inside.

If you bought some eagle brand shit then it actually will do worst. I bought one off ebay a long time ago and got it tested because it didn't help me at all and I found out it was actually a hair lower than stock.
