how do you power your subs

Basically, its never a bad idea to have an amp that is capable of giving your subs excess power, 1.5 times the RMS rating of the subs is good. This leaves what we call "headroom", basically the amp can supply brief bursts of unclipped high power during intense music dynamics. The key is to be able to tell when you are pushing your subs too hard and back off on them if you do.

its funny how ppl say im giving my sub XXX watts when in reality theyre probably giving it about half of what they claim most of the time. unless you guys like to crank your volume to the volume you had it when you set your gain to X watts! i know i dont. that would be pretty **** harsh on the ears.
