How do you power a single RL-S?

What ever happened to this sub....Everyone was getting a hard on about it right before it came out, now I havent really heard shit about it since the first review I read like 2 days after it came out. fAny other reviews on it or anything?

Single VC 4 ohm, 1200 watts RMS?!?! How many amps can do that at 4 ohm? I looked around a bit and saw that the PG Xenon 1200.1 seems to be the best option, but why the hell are these subs only available in single 4 ohms? What gives?
my amp runs 1000 wrms at 4 and 2 ohms......

older thread, I just figured this would be the place to ask my question on it, sorry!!
BUT HAS ANYONE ELSE USED THESE THINGS?
Yes.

They sound pretty decent, are inefficient as heck and need large large enclosures. Not much to say about them in the car audio field other than...there are better options as far as space, power, price and output is concerned.

Off of 800w my 12" Rl-p had noticeably (and I mean very noticeably) more output than a 12" Rl-s. Unless you have a ton of room, unlimited power and don't mind giving up your entire trunk area.....these aren't the sub for you. 9/10 times going with a pair of Rl-p's is a much better option than a single Rl-s.

And this is coming from a guy who really really likes Mike and Soundsplinter. The Rl-s just isn't reasonable in most aspects.
