how do you know cubic feet of box

what dimensions would a box need to be to be 4 cubic feet?height=?

width=?

depth=?
It depends. You might need one flat facing up, or tall facing backwards.

As long as your INTERNAL DIMENSIONS (WxHxD) equal 6912 you will have a 4 cubic feet box.

Box facing up,if you use 1" thick wood, example:

W= 34" Internally 32"

D= 25" Internally 23"

H= 11.5" Internally 9.5"

Internal WxDxH= 6992

Than always divide by 1728

6992/1728= 4.04 cubic feet.

If you would be using a divider you would multiply the HxD. Which=218.5 Then again, divide by 1728. Which= .126

Take your total volume from before= 4.04, and subtract the space the divider takes up= .126

Which= 3.91 cubic feet.

This is of course for a sealed box. Vented/ported is a little more difficult.

Hope this helps.
