Have you grounded your amps correctly? I mean have you checked it with a dmm to make sure they are a solid ground? Use star washers for them. And do the same for the headunit.
How can I check if it's a solid ground with a DMM?

Some people will say to just check the resistance through the circuit to the - batt. terminal or alt. case

Unless you have a 100+ dollar DMM with RMS features and measuring out to the .00x ohm resistance, the measurement is nothing useful.

Just an FYI.

I grounded mine on the side by the door where all of my fuses are. I'm sure you can run it into the engine bay and ground it out there if you needed. you would have to crimp more wire onto the existing to make it reach.
dude u want ur ground to be as short as possible

There's no way that going from a harness ground to a chassis ground could make it worse right? I mean, I'm going to use a butt-crimp tomorrow to reattach the rest of the ground cable that was snipped and then ground it to the chassis. Is there any way that I could actually introduce more noise by doing that?

I certainly hope not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
