How do sundown Z 12s sound?...

I get what you are saying. But to make them sound good playing everything would mean cutting all the low end out to flatten out the response. That makes it pointless.

5 out of 100 sundown setups sounding good doesnt make it a very user friendly woofer.. Sounds like a stuck up picky as sh*t sub. Every other sub does fine no matter what the user level.

Zcon or xcon will do great. IA judge or death penalty. Fi car audio makes the Ascendant audio and others so look into some of there products. The sundown zv4 or zv5 get with spl setup or get a zv3. The soundrive sd3 is a good sub that's made by IA. Don't get dc great motors not the most reliable soft parts. DD makes a great product the 3500 or 9500 Would work well for you. Just pick one that you like that you can get easy and fits your budget. All those subs will make you happy.

No it's all about the install... when I go to shows about 5 installs out of every 100 cars I might auctally like and think sounds good. You can't go off other people's builds that throw 2x4,spray foam and duct tape into an install and thinks it sounds good. U gotta remember I'm not an SPL guy. I do this for myself because I like music. Anyone that's gets a demo from me always say how clean it sounds and how musical it is. Sundown for the win! But you have to know how to use them correctly or you get poor results like your referring to.

I wasnt saying every car at a show has sundown. I was saying if I went to a show and there was 100cars with any kind of equipment only about 5 of them sound good to me. So every woofer must be picky or "PEOPLE **** AT INSTALLS AND GET POOR RESULTS".

Because these days at shows all you see is spray foam and duct tape.. all you hear is rattles and stuff flapping around. I want to hear the music and bass.... these kids these days don't understand.
