that would be the case if they were better then the new stuff, some of the amps are decent but nothing else really that great.

probably the only thing that I own that is high quality old school audio gear:

Boston Acoustics A70 speakers (pair)

Academy Center Speaker

and maybe my PG Titanium 15's

personally i like my rockford power series amps i have from 99. They do more then rated by alot. And my dream amp is a soundstream van gough 500.4 sq heaven there

I guess it depends on what you call 'old school', and what you consider 'great'. I own a few things you cant buy any more, that is a real shame you cant buy any more.

My favorite old school pieces are the two pairs of IDQ8's. I bought one pair new just before they were discontinued, and it took me many years to find a matching second pair (4ohm svc). Incredible midbass drivers, legendary.

I also have several old RF amps/links, SS Ref's/Picasso, Audax PR170MO's, PPI Pro 12's, Alpine 7949, Clarion DRX9375r, a pair of 05 XXX's, and a sweet old Pioneer amplifier (GMH-100). That's all I can think of right now, but I have a few other items around still too.
