How do I remove this dustcap?

My cerwin vega does not play unless I put pressure (push inward) on the cone so im gonna take apart the dust cap to see whats going on inside, does this seem smart? Im looking at the tinsel leads and they look fine, here are some pictures.

Worst case scenario the woofer is scrap so I might as well take off the dust cap and see if anything is loose... right?

What would you guys do? this fkin thing is just looking at me





 
kinda pointless... your not really going to be able to tell anything by removing it. and since your a noob you wouldnt know what to look for to begin with...

hey dickhead i've been on this forum longer than you and have my fair share of experience, sorry i've never had to remove a dust cap before. Post count isn't everything

It is also the prime essential tool for dis-assembling subwoofers, very delicate tool imo
