How do I prevent

my subs from like popping/hitting when i turn the key off and the headunit shuts off it doenst do it when i turn it on only when i turn the key off

its really aggrivating and i know with time will mess up my subs

it pops when i turn the key off

the amp doenst stay on to my knowledge i have a remote wire hooked up to it so it wil shut on and off with the turn of the key

where are you grounded to?

the truck its self i sanded down the metal so i have a good ground connection

would a bad ground be the problem

i had a similar problem. make sure the amp isnt still on and check your power and ground wire. Also if you have an OEM headunit, make sure you didnt wire the remote wire to a constant 12v wire.

My brother has the same problem... We think it has something to do with his external crossover... He's just learned to live with it... Sorry I'm no help, but someone else is in the same boat as you...

well its a cheap jvc headunit and its connected to one of the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash not sure which one but it may have constant power not sure

i have a line out converter and it has a pos neg and remote wire the remote it ran to fuse panel and pos and neg are on the battery

so if i hooked the remote wire into the headunit where do i connect it to

i never deal with a LOC that connects to the fuse panel. But the remote wire should be connected to an ignition/acc wire.

what color is that generally on a headunit

no i believe the yellow is the battery/constant 12v wire. I think it is usually the red wire. not sure though and maybe your wire is different from mines.

well i have a 01 f-150 with a jvc hu so if anyone has a f150 please chime in

whats weird is i just went outside to test it and didnt do it tried to make it happen like 10 times and nothing i was like wth lol

Pretty sure the red is pretty standard on all vehicles.
