how do I know if my amp is blown?????

I have checked the connections, and everything is connected still ( no loose wires)

I have checked the fuses, both under the hood, and the amps fuses, and they are not blown. My amp will not turn on anymore. The amp is mounted on a board mounted to the back off my seat. Can anyone help me

Smelt any smoke recently? To be positive, crack that baby open and check the ground in the amp for burnt wires fried mosfets etc...

Actuallty before opening it.

get a DMM

test 12+

test ground

test remote wire for 12+

You coudl also do this witha simple 12 volt tester. This will tell you at least IF you have everyhting you need for the amp to turn on. If everything checks out then your amp has a mechanical problem that will havce to be adressed.

you checked for loose wires, but what about damages along the wires?

Im willing to bet its the remote wire that is damaged, came loose. Get a DMM like Mrsector suggested....

For some reason the suburban has damaged 3 remote wires.

I am starting to think that it is a wiring issue as well. I found an old Majestic 500 that I have had for years in the garage. So I hooked it up in place of the Cadence, and I couldn't get it to power up. Tomorrow I will get my hands on a DMM, and test it. I am also going to replace all the fuses too. Just to be safe.

My amp is just fine. It was the fuse under the hood. When I first checked it didn't look bad after checking everything with a DMM I decided just to pull the fuse anyway. So I replaced it and BAMM everthing is AOK.
