how do i get more spl

I'm trying to get more SPL as well in my CRX and I've been looking at ported boxes but I am no good with wood. What is a good one to buy or should I make my own?

Secondly, My type R is getting 300 watts. Should I upgrade my amp to the sub or is 300 on the R 12 fine?

i'd upgrade to the jbl600.1 and give that type R 600watts. i'm just going off what everyone has told me on that though i've never used one or heard one, but everyone says it will handle 600watts.

what about buying a ported pox for it?? specifically a 2.5 cu ft ported box made by SubZone off of http://www.thezeb.com? it is supposed to be Subzone's Best box.

you could do that. i mean i would build a box that would be cheaper than buying one from the net, and with the extra cash you save you can buy that 600.1

Do you know where I can look some up or anything like that to kind of get an idea in my head before I commit myself to a project that will turn out bad?? Or is it wise to just buy twice as much MDF and make it twice?

Plus the box is $120 so I wouldnt be spending a crap load just too much for a box.
