put the sub in, wire it up... and place the box on the ground.. with the port facing up, pour water in through the port till it fills up the box and the port to the top... play some test tones, and depending how high the water shoots out of the port in inches is your tuning frequency

Lv = [(14630000 x R^2) / (Fb^2 x Vb)] - 1.463R

you have to change a lil to do a slot port though.

yeah....the R will be the sq.rt. of the area/Pi instead is the radius of a round port.
