How do I change the display on my Pioneer 5900?

Pioneer 5900 question:

I know how to cycle between the various displays available, but I want to cancel the the "flashing" that happens every few seconds. I currently have "simple 1" selected and the flashing is very annoying. Goes from black to fully lit and back again.

Broke,

You were close, and pointed me in the right direction. I went to the initial settings and came across "reverse mode" which I discovered is the flashing action I mentioned. I turned the option to "off": end of problem.

Anniku989, FYI "reverse mode" can also be cancelled by pressing the "band" button with unit off and ignition on.
