anybody send an alpine in for service before?

wondering what to expect... have a 7897 in the wifes car and I want to get it fixed, I broke the arm on one side so I have to hold the face when it's opening or it doesn't open. and the bass fades in and out... luckily her car is good for 143+ new TL on music so it's still loud enough to hear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif but I'd like to get it looked at so she can continue to run a decent deck and later I can trade it or sell it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif anyway, what kinda price does alpine charge? and how long will it take? gonna get a JVC kameleon possibly for a temp deck til the Alpine gets fixed... thanks for any input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

do a search i have stated it before.

however, last time i got my 9831 fixed, it was a $95 flat fee. took 2 weeks or so to get back.

I sent my 7892 to United Radio Service 3 times for repairs and it still isn't right. I gave up on getting it repaired and am now getting a 9887.

ok, it's totally gone now, so I suppose I'll send it in and if they want alot I'll tell them fug off, I'm sick of this deck and do not really plan on getting another motorized deck if I can help it.. pieces of sh!t to the crappiest level when it goes out... nothing more frustrating... well, I suppose not, I just wrecked it though and started getting the idea of throwing it down the driveway or running it over with my truck... have yet to have issues with my JVC arsenal dvd player yet this alpine gives me sh!t... if I had access to M-80's I'd blow it up for fun...
