how di i fix this one more time???

ok here are the pictures for that pyramid speaker that i could not get to work well i took off the dust cap and stuck the wires straight to the magnet thing and BAM!!! i got sound not strong but i got sound so im on the right track so how should i do this i could not get sound out of it useing the regular hook ups but when i stuck them to the inside of the dust cap copper looking thing it worked.....how do i fix it and whats wrong with it....?

Whats wrong with it is it's a Pyramid. Your best bet would be to trash it and get a real sub.
