How come my subs cut out for a second and then come back on?

Yesterday I was driving with my high beams on and after a while my subs started to cut out and then come back on and it did this repeatedly. I turned off the beams and the problem went away. Today, I was driving and charging my cell phone and my subs started to cut out and then come back on. I took out my phone charger and the problem went away. I haven't done any upgrades to my electrical system. I drive a 1996 Camry and have a Kicker ZX750.1 amp and 2 CVR 12s. What could the problem be? I plan on doing the big three upgrade sometime soon and then eventually getting an Optima Yellow Top.

yup. big 3 done? better battery time, or 2nd battery time, or better and 2nd battery time.

get a number off the battery after the car has been sitting for a while (CAR OFF). like before you start it in the morning. just so you have a reference point of standing voltage.

If I don't use my high beams or car charger, and don't use stuff that takes up my car's electricity, will I be good for now? Cause I notice that this only happens when I got my beams on etc..

how should you test voltage drops? i know i have them becuase of my lights dimming but how to test it to see how much voltage im loosing? just everytime the subs hit?

if you do the big3 yourself, no more than like 30 bucks or w/e you pay for wiring/ connectors. if you have some1 do it for you, im not sure

how do i get a number off the battery?

i would dbl check your grounds, unless both your alt and battery are shit your amp shouldnt be cutting off like that. what size wire and where do you have the amp grounded at?
I have Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge power and ground.

use a meter to test the voltage in the morning befor you start the car, then i would start it and test the voltage again.with the car off you should be near 12.3 or so, with it on you should be between 13.5 and 14.5v
I test it with a DMM right? I just connect the positive to the positive terminal or how do I do it?
