How close do you normally tune to vehicle fs?

Just like the title asks. Basically wondering how close most of you guys tune for spl to your vehicles Fs. Not concerned for daily. Many of my boxes I've tuned 7hz or so lower. I've heard some more some less. I think my next box I will tune directly at my Fs and see how it does.

from what I was told and have tried out, fs is good start for gaining spl, but, when you increase potential output, the fs is changed and the higher you tune above it sometimes you gain. Keep_hope_alive and Moble enclosure would be able to explain more than I can, but is has something to do with compression and resonance.

What gear do you have? and what car. and what is your fs and highest spl so far.?

98 blazer four door. F's is 51. Recently tuned to 40 with 2the 12s on 1500 watts- 147 flat sealedon dash on tl. Then 2 15s tuned at 44 on same amp yielded 150.1 (much better box design ). Of course all have peaked at 51 hz. Just trying to get an idea for next box where burps are my only intention.
