how can you tell?

how can you tell if an amplifier works still? because i just picked up a new durabrand HU today since the cassette HU i had didnt have rca outputs i took it back and exchanged it. i hooked everything up and the amp powers on but when i hook the speakers up i dont hear any sound. i have a profile california 2400 amp with 2 bridgeable channels. do i hook my speakers in the "A - and +" slots or the "B - and +" slots or the screw down terminals on the other side of the amp that says "high input"? just wantin to know if i hooked this thing up right. thanks.

What color are the LEDs? Green or red/yellow?

there is a red strip ontop of the amp, it has a redish looking cover thing, even when turned off, then when it powers up it glows red. here is a pick of the amp.

Sounds like somethings fried. Take it in an have them bench it. Easy way to see if its been smokin.
