I totally agree. BUT What he recommended from IA is not comp level by anymeans. A good 750 watt amp should run in the $200 range if you know how to shop around. normally a $1000 amp is nice for what its is designed for. Power or SQ. Get the most for your money. Stuff that last, can be abused when needed, and sound good enough to be happy for the long run; And something that will not cause you to pour more money into the electrical system after it kills alternators, batteries, subs and possible the amp. Many get this very low budget stuff and love it when its new cause they dont know anybetter. After some time with it they dont hear what they want to hear. A good install on OK equipment can make it shine to a point but a good install can quickly add up in cost. Look at the big picture not just a number or a $ sign.Okay, so recommend him a budget setup. Incriminator Audio isn't a budget setup, period. It's high-quality, competition grade equipment that people just getting started into the hobby simply don't need. Just because a 750w amplifier doesn't cost $300 doesn't mean it's garbage, it means it's reasonable. There's plenty of equipment out there that can supply a decent amount of clean power without killing your wallet. Not every low-cost piece of equipment is garbage, just like not every $1000 amp is as nice as it seems. Yeah, you've got to be careful - but low-budget systems can be put together very well if you find the right gear.
