how can i fix this? foam surround missing huge chunk

not really sure how this happened... the subs got rearranged in my trunk somehow and were flexing against the trunk... is there anyway i can fix this myself? how much would it cost to send in and have repaird? both subs are split but one is missing a good bit of foam... they were fine a week ago so im not really sure exactly when this happened but i didnt notice any sort of difference in the sound earlier today...

they are dd 1510s btw

how much am i looking at? ive never repaird a sub before, but i tend to learn things pretty easily. would it be better to just send it in?

Knowing DD and their retail prices they are gonna want to charge you an arm and a leg. Worse case scenario you need to purchase a full recone kit from SPL, but he charges dirt cheap to begin with anyways

Shit happens man. We had problems on a friends setup with his box moving around and we didnt have anything to attach the box to so we just cut a spare piece of MDF and lodged it between the box and the trunk. Works great

yea im gonna have to do somethin like that. if i can get the money to do it i think i might build another box to put in my backseat instead of the trunk. i have so much trunk space and my box takes up the entire thing lol...

I just picked up some eye bolts drilled two 1/4" holes and bought a 5 dollar ratchet strap no box has moved since.
